“मैं क्या जानूँ मंदिर-मस्जिद, गिरिजा या गुरुद्वारा
जिन पर पहली बार दिखा था अल्हड़ रूप तुम्हारा
मैंने उन पावन राहों का पत्थर-पत्थर चूम लिया
प्रिये तुम्हारी सुधि को मैंने यूँ भी अक्सर चूम लिया
तुम पर गीत लिखा फिर उसका अक्षर-अक्षर चूम लिया”

Artists can only leave us and this world
physically. Their souls do not. For they linger around in their timeless work
of art, which is immortal. These mesmerizing words of poetry, penned by the
legendary poet of modern times, Late Shri Dewal Ashish, stand testimony to this
fact.
Late Shri Dewal Ashish (1972 – 2013) was
one of the most inspirational geetkaar poets of the modern Lucknow poetry era.
Not only have his works been straight from heart and inspiringly original, he had
rendered them with such panache and his inherently deep love for the art called
poetry. Who would deny the fact that he could well be Hindustan’s answer to
romantic poet greats like Shelley or Lord Byron?
Late Shri Dewal Ashish was a regular at
Kavi-sammelans. His rendition of poetry and geet would elevate the romantic
soul in many a attendee at the Kavi-sammelans. Who can forget his passionate
rendition of his yet another masterful poetry “Pyaar Sacha hai toh” http://www.yourepeat.com/watch/?v=t_KxvHYlq2M)
in the last edition of Kavi-Sammelan?
It is again that time of the year now when
legends, aspirers and the newbies from the enchanting poetic world come
together under one roof to celebrate the festivity of Hindi poetry – the
Kavi-Sammelan. The 'Akhil Bharatiya Kavi Sammelan - 2014' https://www.talentflush.com/events/is
back in Lucknow this year on August 30th with an illustrious list of
leading poets from all over the country gracing the stage. How would it feel to
listen to the flowing stream of geet and shayaris from the very best? And what
better to listen to all of them in the seat of Hindi poetry , the city which has
given creative wings to countless poetic legends – Lucknow!
शाखों से टूट जायें वह पत्ते नहीं हैं हम,
आंधी से कोई कह दे औकात में रहे।
आंधी से कोई कह दे औकात में रहे।
Legendary
Urdu and Hindi poet and lyricist Rahat Indori is set to enthral the audiences
and soothe your soul with his exciting shayaris. Remember his “Mere Khayal Mere Hi Dil” from ‘Prem
Shakti’?
“jab bhi kashti meri sailaab mein aa jaati
hai
maa dua karti hui khwaab mein aa jaati hai
aye andhere dekh le munh tera kaala ho gaya,
maa ne aankhein khol di ghar mein ujaala ho gaya”
maa dua karti hui khwaab mein aa jaati hai
aye andhere dekh le munh tera kaala ho gaya,
maa ne aankhein khol di ghar mein ujaala ho gaya”
The list
just doesn’t end there. Who cannot recognize these lines of devotion to mother
by the legendary Munnawar Rana? The master of couplets is one of the luminaries
who would preside over the Kavi-sammelan and he would weave his magic wand too,
for ‘Maa’ is the most powerful word on this planet.
According to Team ‘Talent Flush’ https://www.talentflush.com a leading firm which serves as a
platform for budding artistic talent and promotes events globally, this
Kavi-Sammelan in Lucknow is certainly one of the most anticipated, as it not
only gives us an opportunity to listen to the who’s who of Hindi poetry but
also pays tribute to the legend Late Shri Dewal Ashish in his own turf.
It is truly the time to celebrate the art of
poetry, the immortality of Hindi language and last but not the least, the
reason for living – love.
“प्यार है पवित्र पुंज, प्यार पुण्यधाम
है
पुण्यधाम, जिसमें कि राधिका है श्याम है
श्याम की मुरलिया की हर गूंज प्यार है
प्यार कर्म, प्यार धर्म, प्यार प्रभुनाम है”
पुण्यधाम, जिसमें कि राधिका है श्याम है
श्याम की मुरलिया की हर गूंज प्यार है
प्यार कर्म, प्यार धर्म, प्यार प्रभुनाम है”
